You know how earlier this year I mentioned that I wanted to participate in some blogging events? Well, that time has come.
The BLOGGIESTA will be on March 30 and 31 and April 1st. While it’s a standing book blogger tradition (it was created nearly three years ago by Natasha of Maw Books), this one is a first for me, because in past years I only heard about it after it had taken place. This year it will be hosted by Suey of It’s all about books and Danielle of There’s a book and I’m so glad I will finally be able to participate! (This blog actually needs it!)
The idea of the Bloggiesta is to dedicate time to your blog and finally do those blogging things you have been putting off, like reorganizing pages and links and the like. It is also about learning new tips and tricks about blogging, it’s about networking and making new friends, and as with any event created by book bloggers it’s about having fun!
So here’s my plan, AKA What This Blog Needs Done:
- redo the blogroll
- deal with the great tag-to-category haul
- take time to write older Travel with books posts
- finish the review backlog (OK, almost done for now)
- organize my sources for ideas for the Italian section
- take part in mini challenges (I love mini challenges!)
- have fun!

While we are on the subject of book blogging events, and although there has been no official announcement yet, let me remind you of another classic event:
Dewey’s read-a-thon is scheduled for April 21st. I guess sign-ups will appear at the beginning of April. And I’m glad to say we’ll be able to participate again this year! Yay!
