Reading picnic

Remember how my husband and I were not able to participate in the Read-a-Thon and were greatly disappointed because of that? Well, after some time we suddenly decided to make up for that with a sort of read-a-thon of our own, or rather a reading picnic.

So today we grabbed our (brand new) picnic set, a bowl of pasta salad and a backpackful of books, and we headed for the big city park.

And it’s been a nice experience… except that the weather turned sour just after lunch and we had to continue our reading back home 😦 But we’ll surely repeat the experience, so if anyone has a picnic recipe to share, I’m all ears (ahem, eyes).

And I’ve been daydreaming, wouldn’t it be nice to have all of you booklovers living nearby, so we could organize a reading picnic all together, chatting away during lunch and then scattering to the many corners of the park and passing away the day reading…
